The park district was created in 1999 to provide opportunities for the youth of the New Albany-Plain Local School District to play recreational sports together. And while the park offerings have grown to include adult sports, passive park space, and family recreational opportunities, youth sports remain at the heart of New Albany Parks & Recreation.
There are currently eight youth sports coordinated through New Albany Parks, the newest addition being field hockey in 2008. The staff at New Albany Parks & Recreation is constantly striving to increase the number of sports offered as well as opportunities within each sport.

Sports Registration Calendar
The Sports Registration Calendar provides current registration schedules for the organized sports. The calendar provides a timeframe for registration and season length for each sport.
Online Registration
New Albany Parks & Recreation online registration process provides a quick and easy method to sign up and pay for sports and activities. This secure site also allows you to update family information such as a change of address. Follow the Online Registration Link to access this option.
Request for Refunds
In the event that you need to withdraw from a sport prior to the season, you may use the Refund Request Form to request a refund of fees for sports and other activities from New Albany Parks & Recreation. Please print the form and send it to the parks office.
